Dark day

When you consider what happened on this day 2,000 years ago it gives hope to those going through a painful experience or a period of darkness. Today would have been the day after the agonizing crucifixion. Jesus was dead. His lifeless body lay in cold, dark tomb. The followers of Christ were in hiding, paranoid the Roman soldiers and Jewish leaders would soon hunt them down. So they hid. Grieving over their dear Rabbi's death. The future looked bleak. They were desperate. But Sunday was coming. The day that would change everything! A day that would drive out the darkness. Jesus rose from the grave! Sometimes our darkest days are followed by our brightest ones. So don't lose hope! Sunday is coming! A new day, full of hope and purpose!
