Growing up I was a huge fan of the television series "The Incredible Hulk".  Friday nights were about The Hulk and the Dukes of Hazaard.  Whatever happened to great televion, I digress.  Dr. David Bruce Banner experimented with gama radiation to study why people in certain crisis had superhuman strength.  In the opening episode it shows the word ANGER on the screen as the camera draws back it reveals the word DANGER.  Anger can be dangerous.  Dr. Banner would warn people, "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry."  Banner was a small guy, not very intimidating at all.  But the bullies didn't know about the green 6'5" hulking monster.  Anger can be danger.  Ephesians 4:26 reminds us "Be angry, but sin not.  Don't let the sun go down on your anger."  Anger repressed can lead to depression or violent outbursts.  We should deal with our anger in a healthy way.  There is such a thing as righteous indignation.  In fact this kind of anger handled in the proper way can lead to great reforms, changes, crusades and injustices overturned.  Mother Teresa was angry about the starving disease infected children dying on the streets of Calcutta and decided to do something about it.  Jesus showed righteous anger on two occasions when he enterned the temple and was disturbed by what people were doing.  When we use our anger in the correct way, like any of our emotions, it can lead to great things.  Dr. Banner only used the Hulk to right some wrongs, to defend victims, to stop crimes and to help people.  Yield to the Holy Spirit, give Him control of your emotions and ask Him to use your passions for His glory!
