Beware

A slippery slope. A pandora's box. Are you teetering on the edge? Casting Crowns new song "Slow Fade" describes it perfectly. "It's a slow fade when you give yourself away. It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray. Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid. When you give yourself away. People never crumble in a day. It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade." Most of us don't even realize the slow fade, it creeps up on us and steals our resolve. It causes us to lower our standards, morals and values. Once the fade starts, once you open the pandora's box, once you start down the slippery slope it is too late. You're caught in a trap. We need to wake up. I need to wake up. Be careful little eyes what you see. One compromise can lead to destruction. This is why in driver's ed. they used to remind us to check our blind spots. Perhaps there is something in your life you aren't even aware is taking you down. Be careful. Avoid the danger zone. Stand firm. Put on the whole armor of God and STAND! Don't go down the slippery slope.
