I know not too many people are on the A-Rod bandwagon right now. Especially after the Sports Illustrated report of him taking Performance Enhancing Drugs. I just finished watching his interview with ESPN in which he admits taking the drugs and expresses regret. I sensed a genuine remorse in his demeanor. I appreciate his coming forward. Granted in the past he has denied it, but now he has owned up to it. He has been exposed and he has admitted what he did was wrong. While I have seen in my life a tendency to kick someone when they are down, I am resolved not to this time or in the future. I don't want to debate whether he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame or not, I merely want to commend him for coming out and telling the truth. We all need to do a better job admitting when we are wrong. Granted its best to tell the truth from the very beginning. I appreciate Alex's honesty and him not delaying or prolonging this scandal. The bible tells us that if we confess our sins then God is faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of our unrighteousness.
