A Dad's Courage

Today the news that the abduction and murder of Adam Walsh has been solved and the case is closed brought mixed emotions for me. I remember the case very vividly. Adam and I were close in age and my mom told me about how he got lost in a mall and was taken by a stranger. We had the official "Never talk to strangers, run from them if they try to grab you" talk. My heart goes out to families like them who have had their children taken. I have a six year and don't even won't to imagine the pain they have gone through. Yet in spite of the pain and tragedy, John the dad has shown amazing courage. He has made it his life purpose to help other victims of crime. He has worked hard to pass legislation to protect children, including the Adam Walsh Child Protection Act of 2006. He has been the host of America's Most Wanted putting thousands of felons behind bars. He has taken this tragedy and made himself a defender and advocate for families and children. He has displayed amazing strength and courage. John I salute you. You are an inspiration! If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ you and Adam will be reunited. You will see him again, he is waiting for you. God bless.
