Did you hear about the surfer Kerby Brown? He recently road a huge wave in Australia. It was a 40 foot swell and was very dangerous. Kerby obviously has ridden waves before and was experienced enough and talented enough to take the risk. He rode the ginormous monster wave and lived to tell about it. He and his buddies had been watching the waves and he timed it just right. I was thinking about this the other day. Don't worry I'm not going to attempt surfing and bleach my hair blond. But I was thinking about the waves sent our direction in life. Sometimes we just kind of wade in the water and let the waves carry us. Sometimes we avoid even getting in the ocean because the waves are too big. Other times we wax the board and go for it. We catch the wave and ride it. With every wave there is an ebb and a flow. When you come out the other side of the tunnel what then? You rode the wave, so what? There are more waves to come. Bigger and more adventurous. So surf's up, ride the wave.
