A few good men...

I am of the belief that most of our problems today are a direct result of people not having a relationship with Christ. I also believe that the lack of godly fathers is a major contributor to our downfall. Our young people need men of God to look up to. Many children grow up without a father in the home. So these young children are looking for men to follow, and many of the men they follow are not setting the right example. Passive men are to blame for a lot, including the fall in the Garden of Eden. Scripture shows us a passive man with Eve when she ate of the forbidden fruit. He not only was passive initially but he took a bite as well. To borrow the Marine Corps slogan, We are looking for a few good men. Men who are willing to set an example for those following us (even when we don't know they are). We need men to step up and be the leaders they are called to be. For far too long we have sat on the sidelines. I am calling on dads, grandfathers, uncles, brothers to step up. Get in the game. If a little boy were to follow you where would your footsteps take them? If little guys were to repeat what you say what would come out of their mouths? If they were to look at what you look at what would they see? Come on men, let's hold one another accountable.
