Christmas Caroling

Tonight nearly 30 people from our church went Christmas caroling for some of the shut-ins in our church. We encountered lots of smiles and happy faces and a few tears along the way. It really put me in the Christmas spirit even though the temperatures didn't feel like Christmas. One woman we encountered asked what we were doing and we told her caroling and we sang "Joy to the World" for her. About half way through the first verse she started singing along with us and started to cry. It was amazing! Our last stop of the evening was at the home of one of our deacons who is 95 years young. He told us he had never had anyone sing a Christmas carol for him at his home. What a blessing it was for us to have been the first! We really enjoyed going from home to home, and we sounded great if I don't say so myself.
