Baptism is a celebration of what God has done in someone's life. Baptism is a beautiful picture of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. The person is immersed or buried in the water and then comes out symbolizing the change in their life. We call it Believer's Baptism because it is for someone who has made a voluntary decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord. This Sunday was a special day in our church as we celebrated the Ordinance of Baptism. Praise God for what He is doing in our church!!! It is an exciting time at First Baptist Oil City.
