A Double Standard

Something is wrong with our justice system. Actually a lot is wrong with our system of justice. But for this blog I will focus on a recent Florida court proceeding where a teacher charged with a crime against a fourteen year old young boy has been let go. This teacher used her authority to take advantage and abuse one of her students. She committed statutory rape. Yet she will spend no time behind bars. She has been set free. What kind of system allows sexual predators go without any consequences? If this had been a male teacher who raped a 14 year old student do you honestly believe he would not have served time behind bars? Do you see the double standard our society has created? Our culture condones this criminal behavior from women. Consider the Dr. Pepper commercial featuring a 30-something mom with the song, "Stacey's Mom Has Got it Going On" playing. The young adolescents are gawking over the mother in the ad, as her shirt is lifted up by the breeze. Are we that twisted? We encourage this kind of behavior from women but are disgusted when a man behaves that way towards children. Wake up people! This is wrong, criminal behavior and should be punished. It is wrong to sexually abuse people. It is wrong for adults to have sex with children regardless of the perpetrator's gender.

Amen, You are right if it was a MAN he would be and should be under the prison. This woman should be serving time for her crime, i believe she is still going to trail in another county hopefully she gets some jail time from that county.
