Awaken

January 2-22nd Louisiana Baptists will join in 21 days of prayer and fasting. Our state needs a spiritual awakening. We still seem to lead the nation in negative categories. I'm encouraging our church to use this time to get on our faces before the Lord and cry out to Him. Seek revival. We live in desperate times but we don't seem to be desperate. We have an over-abundance of possessions and wealth unmatched around the globe. We have more conviences and enjoy more luxuries than any previous generation. We are comfortable and content with the status-quo. Perhaps that's the problem, the roadblock to revival. We need a holy discontent. We need to be satisfied in Christ alone, not our material possessions. This may be the very reason America hasn't experienced a move of God in over 150 years. It's time. Time to wake up. Time to pray and fast. If not now,when? If not you, who?
