This is a picture of Team Hoyt. It is made up of a father and son. They have competed in hundreds of marathons and triatholons and even raced in the Iron Man competition. The son has cerebal palsy. The dad is in his sixties. The son told his dad one day after a 5 mile race, that when they raced he didn't feel disabled. From that day forward the dad has trained and prepared himself for competitions that men half his age couldn't make it in. It puts a smile on the son's face every time they cross a finish line. The dad says his son inspires him. The son says the same of the dad. What a combination! When asked what he would do if he wasn't in a wheelchair the son initially said he would play hockey or some other sport. But then the son thought about it and said he would have his dad sit in the wheelchair and he would push him around. Amazing! What an inspiration! Happy Father's Day we could all learn something from Team Hoyt.
