Jesus is Coming!

My three year old son today was turning the pages in his Bible pretending to read. I was listening to him and overheard him say, "Jesus is coming in two months." I asked him to repeat what he said. He said it again. Then I asked him where did he learn that from to which he replied, "I'm trying to learn about Jesus in my Bible!" Obviously my son doesn't know when Jesus is coming but this conversation got me to thinking. What if Jesus came in two months? Would we all be ready? What if he came in two days? Or two minutes? Have you made preparations for that day whenever it comes?

Jesus said in Matthew 24, "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill ; one will be taken and one will be left."

Will you be taken up or left behind? Jesus is coming. We know that for certain, we just don't know when. Make those preparations today by inviting Jesus Christ into your heart.
